Friedrich is Founder of the European start-up AMIDORI which develops, produces and sells products based on plant proteins, like high protein dishes, snacks and meat alternatives. After many years of developing delicious meals together with the Fraunhofer Institute – based entirely on vegetarian proteins and fibres without additives or soya – Friedrich founded the company in 2015.
Friedrich started his career in 1983 with a master degree as a meatmaster and chef before he decided to quit his involvement in the livestock industry. Friedrich went off exploring new and different areas of the food industry in Germany as well as foreign countries like Brazil, Japan, UK or the US. During his time abroad he has gained various valuable experiences in entrepreneurship, consultancy and the hard work that comes with the job as a chef. He worked over 20 years in various positions such as managing director, consultant for the business development company food, health & more and as the head of global solutions.
